The Martlet is pleased to officially announce the results of this summer’s fiction contest.
The winning story is “Occupational Hazard,” by Will Johnson, which will appear in the centrefold of our Sept. 5 print issue and on martlet.ca the same day. Look forward to this story, readers.
Judges also chose a runner up, and that accomplishment goes to “Antoine,” by Michael Orlando. The author plans to continue working on the piece in the near future.
The Martlet would also like to extend honourable mentions to “Running for Dad,” by Sarah Grindlay, and “I Like My Gingersnap Cookies With Milk,” by Gillian Jose.
Thanks to all those who entered. Keep writing.
Thanks also to our judges, who we hope enjoyed volunteering their time as much as we enjoyed having them.
Congrats to our winner!
