The candidates for the upcoming UVSS elections have officially been announced.
Returning candidates include Kayleigh Erickson, who will be running for Chair on the Refresh UVic slate, and Kaylee Szakacs, who will be running unopposed for Director of Student Affairs with Involve UVic. Tristan Ryan from Divest UVic will also be running with Involve UVic for Director of Finance and Operations.
The topics of this year’s referenda are fossil fuel divestment, student funding for Students of Colour Collective’s anti-racism advocacy, the reallocation of funds from the Elections Fund to the Food Bank, and increasing student fees to support the Campus Community Gardens.
