It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jin “like the drink” Woo Park, aged 23 years old. He passed away on Feb. 23, 2023.
Jin Woo was a larger-than-life character whose impact on the UVic community and radiating kindness will be remembered by all who met him. Everyone who interacted with him could attest to Jin’s kindness, it was tangible, palpable — his presence in a room would uplift everyone. He loved to dance, he loved to sing, he loved to cook, and he loved to do anything in his power to make everyone around him smile and laugh. As a result, everyone always wanted to spend time with him. He had innumerable friends who loved him.
Jin Woo is survived by a loving mother and father, and two younger brothers: Sun Woo (19) and Chan Woo (15).
