Amidst the chaos of courses and exams, places like Mystic Vale truly remind me of how connected we are with mother nature and how much peace we can find if we only listen to what surrounds us, if we are present in the moment, and if we are open to those true connections. I have found a sense of belonging among my friends, many of them indigenous, because of the many similarities between my culture and theirs. We value our community, give strength to each other, and most importantly, we know that it does not matter where we come from. Northern B.C., or a different country, we are all one. And as such, we stand together and cherish the wonderful moments and connections in life.
