In the tradition of outgoing Editors-in-Chief of the Martlet, here’s a goodbye to Volume 71 and my time at the Martlet. And, in a proper tribute, it’s in the form of an Ariana Grande song.

 

Thought I’d end up insane

Cause the Martlet and UVic aren’t a match

Wrote some pieces about the UVSS

Now I read them and laugh

Even almost had a breakdown

And for the patient Martlet staffers, I’m so thankful

Wish I could say, “Thank you” to the past EiCs

‘Cause they were all angels

 

The Martlet taught me love

UVic taught me patience

The UVSS taught me pain

Now, I’m so amazing

I’ve laughed and I’ve cried

But that’s not what I see

Look what it’s taught me
